ICB Solar is one of the UK's most innovative Solar PV suppliers and installers, using the world's first PV roofing membrane EVALON^® Solar (produced by alwitra) and now the first to use the unique tube PV panels from SOLYNDRA^® Solar.

Established in the UK for 25 years ICB provide sustainable roofing and is one of the largest suppliers of green roofing solutions. For us the obvious next step was to offer our customers a dedicated arm of the company providing the opportunity to generate green energy from their roofs.

Currently there is no better time to do this; the new Government feed in tariff is set to be launched in April 2010 which means that PV really won't cost the Earth. The scheme will pay for every kWh generated NOT just exported. This gives realistic payback times on your investment!

Ideally suited to a changeable climate like the UK, thin film Photovoltaic (PV) does not need direct sunlight but works off the diffused light found on an overcast day. The thin film technologies we use are proven to produce up to 20% greater output than the more common crystalline cells which work best in direct sunlight.

The electricity generated from the PV cells can be used onsite, sold to an energy supplier or a combination of both.

As an MCS accredited installer, all accredited panels which we install are eligible for the feed in tariff from April 2010.
